Playdate - what a fun hardware product - by a software company!

Is it the 2022 Game Boy? We’ll see - but it’s for sure a brilliant idea! The Playdate by Panic Inc. is a wonderful project that has been executed with love for detail and is now available to order - though the first batch is already gone :)

The little, handy Game Console has an interesting concept as it adds the ‘Crank’ to the usual controller buttons. And similar to a great magazine subscription, if you purchase the device you’ll get two new games every week - for 12 weeks in a row. 

Panic Software was founded one year before the introduction of the original iMac. And the team around the co-founders Steven Frank and Cabel Sasser have introduced famous Mac Apps like Transmit or Audion.
